Philosophy

To me, building, learning, and thinking are the same thing, and I do them like play. Serious play.

I spend my time reading across disciplines: history, science, philosophy, business. I look for patterns that repeat, then shape them into ways of thinking I can actually use.

This website is my playground and my lab. Here I read, test ideas, and build thinking tools, then record it all in the open. Some of it is polished, some is still rough.

Core Values

Independent Thinking

Thinking from first principles. Not afraid to go against consensus when logic and evidence support different conclusions.

Lifelong Learning

Reading voraciously. Every book is a compressed wisdom from decades of someone's experience and research.

Intellectual Honesty

Willing to admit when wrong. Seeking truth above being right. Changing views when evidence demands.

Principles Over Storytelling

Preferring distilled wisdom to biographies. Biographies often become hagiographies, glossing over failures, mythologizing successes, missing the real leverage points.

Systems Thinking

Seeing feedback loops, not just linear causality. Most visible problems are symptoms, not root causes.

Building in Public

Working with the garage door up. Sharing the process, not just results. Growing by teaching.

What I Do

Building Businesses

Bootstrapping businesses since 2013 across edtech, multiservices, construction, e-commerce, and transportation. Each business is a systems thinking laboratory: how do incentives shape behavior? Where are the leverage points? What patterns repeat across different contexts?

Reading & Learning

Reading across disciplines: business, psychology, philosophy, history, science, Islamic thought. Focus on extracting principles, patterns, and mental models that transcend contexts rather than individual stories.

Writing & Synthesis

I write essays synthesizing what I learn and experience. My writing prioritizes principles over anecdotes, frameworks over storytelling. The goal: communicating ideas so clearly they become tools others can use.

Building Tools & Systems

I build various tools, systems, and software, from interactive decision-making tools, automation systems, to business software. These are by-products of how I think, transforming mental models and frameworks into actionable, practical tools for daily use.

Background

Serial Entrepreneur

Bootstrapping businesses since 2013 in edtech, multiservices, construction, e-commerce, and transportation. Focus on sustainable growth and systems thinking.

Lifelong Learner

Reading across disciplines (150+ book notes published). Focus on pattern recognition and building mental models library.

Writer & Educator

Writing 200+ essays on business, philosophy, and thinking frameworks. Sharing learnings publicly.

Tool & System Builder

Building various tools, systems, and software. Making mental models actionable through technology.

Intellectual Influences

These people shaped how I think, not through their life stories, but through principles and frameworks they taught:

Charlie Munger

Mental models, latticework of knowledge, inversion thinking

Ray Dalio

Principles-based thinking, radical transparency, idea meritocracy

Nassim Taleb

Antifragility, skin in the game, asymmetry

Shane Parrish (Farnam Street)

Clear thinking, decision-making frameworks, second-order thinking

Robert Greene

Power dynamics, human nature, strategic thinking

Ryan Holiday

Stoicism, temperance, discipline

Let's Connect

I'm always open to meaningful conversations about systems thinking, business building, or cross-discipline patterns.
